How do you select an EMC Consultant?
You have to do your own research, so here are some tips about what to look for.
During their career have they:
a) obtained any recognised qualifications
b) become members or fellows of any relevant institution
c) written and presented any peer reviewed papers
d) written and presented any training courses.
e) authored any books
f) got a client list from which you can get references.

Keith Armstrong graduated in electrical engineering with a B.Sc (Hons.) from Imperial College London in 1972, majoring in analogue circuit design and electromagnetic field theory, and achieved Upper Second Class Honours (Cum Laude).
Keith has been a Chartered Electrical Engineer (UK) since 1978, a Group 1 European Engineer since 1988, and has written and presented a great many papers on EMC and on EMC for Functional Safety. He is a past chairman of the IEE’s Professional Group (E2) on Electromagnetic Compatibility, a member of the IEEE’s EMC and Product Safety Societies, chairs the IEE’s Working Group on ‘EMC and Functional Safety’, and is the UK expert appointed to the IEC 61000-1-2 (‘EMC and Functional Safety’) maintenance team.

Ghery S. Pettit, NCE is the President of Pettit EMC Consulting LLC. He is a graduate of Washington State University and is a Life Senior Member of the IEEE. He has worked in the EMC world for the past 42 years in positions with the US Navy, Martin Marietta Denver Aerospace, Tandem Computers, Intel Corporation and now as an independent consultant. Mr. Pettit is a past President of the IEEE EMC Society and currently serves as Chair of CISPR Subcommittee I, which is responsible for emissions and immunity standards for broadcast receivers, ITE and multimedia equipment. Jeremy has worked in electrostatics and ESD control since the late 1980’s. He formed Electrostatic Solutions Ltd in 1998 to provide electrostatics consultancy, training and R&D services for industry and works with British and IEC standards Committees. He is a frequent author and collaborator in journal and conference papers and was awarded Best Paper at the 2020 ESDA Symposium. He was awarded the 2010 ESD Association Industry Pioneer Award, and 2017 International Fellow Award and 2022 Stig Lundquist Award at the European Electrostatics Conference. Dr. Bruce Archambeault is a IBM Distinguished Engineer at IBM in Research Triangle Park, NC.
He received his Ph. D. from the University of New Hampshire in 1997.  His doctoral research was in the area of computational electromagnetics applied to real-world EMC problems.
Dr. Archambeault has authored or co-authored a number of papers in computational electromagnetics, mostly applied to real-world EMC applications.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the IEEE EMC Society and a past Board of Directors member for the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES). 
He has served as a past IEEE/EMCS Distinguished Lecturer and Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility. 
He is the author of the book “PCB Design for Real-World EMI Control” and the lead author of the book titled “EMI/EMC Computational Modeling Handbook”.

Dr. Hansen Consulting in Berikon near Zurich, Switzerland, has been a leading figure in the field of Electromagnetic Disturbance and Interference control since 1991. With over 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Hansen specializes in various aspects of EMC, including automotive and medical EMC, radio and wireless communications, EM-radiation hazards and protection, electrical safety, and lightning and nuclear electromagnetic pulse (LEMP and NEMP) mitigation. As a recognized EU accreditation auditor and assessor, Mr. Hansen has led and conducted technical audits under ISO EN 17025 and ISO 17065 standards. He was the first German-approved automotive EMC AEMCLRP EU assessor in 2001 and has been actively involved in international EM standards development for over 35 years. He has authored over 160 international technical papers and holds over 50 patents in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Mr. Hansen is a keynote speaker and session chair for numerous international symposia and serves on the advisory board and organizing committee for the EMV Mesago WS Expo in Stuttgart, the largest EMC show in Europe. He also held the position of VP PR for the renowned EMC Zurich international symposium and expo in 1993. As an iNARTE senior certified engineer and an IEEE life senior member, Mr. Hansen has been recognized for his professional standing and contributions to the field. Additionally, he holds multiple radio licenses, including DK2VQ in Germany, HB9CVQ in Switzerland, and AK4IG in the USA.
