EMC RESOURCES
What is EMC? – Where can I get some EMC Training? – How can I find an EMC Test House? – Are there any books on EMC?
The answers to these and many other questions can be found here on the EMC Resources site.
We trust that by now you’ve recognized that this site is dedicated to EMC and Product Compliance. At some stage in their careers, Electrical and Electronic Engineers are likely to encounter EMC regulations or issues. Unfortunately, many universities and colleges offer limited education on these critical topics, which can present challenges. Our mission at EMC Resources is to bridge this gap by providing Electrical and Electronic Engineers—especially those whose expertise lies outside of EMC—with comprehensive, free access to a wide range of EMC and Product Compliance information. We achieve this through the following resources.
Welcome to our comprehensive calendar of EMC, Product Compliance, and related events. Here, you’ll find a wide range of events including conferences, exhibitions, tradeshows, workshops, training courses, and more, all organized by date and month for your convenience.
This section is regularly updated, as new events are often announced just days before they occur. We recommend bookmarking this page and checking back frequently to stay informed.
Browse through all the events scheduled from now until October 2028, and stay ahead of the curve in your industry.
In today’s digital age, books—especially technical ones—are often considered outdated and undervalued, leading to them being largely overlooked as a source of valuable information. However, we believe this is a mistake. These books are written by industry experts, and we view each one as a “Consultant on a Shelf,” ready to provide expert guidance at a moment’s notice. Our collection includes over 140 titles covering EMC, Product Compliance, Medical Devices, and related topics.
Our training courses are meticulously designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their respective fields. We specialize in three key areas: EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), Product Compliance, and Medical Devices and related topics.
We embarked on a mission to compile a comprehensive list of all EMC test houses worldwide. So far, we have identified and verified over 450 test houses, and our research is ongoing as we continue to uncover more. The list includes the name, location, and contact details of each test house and is organized by geographical region for easy reference.
“…and that’s just the beginning! This serves as your gateway to a broad spectrum of EMC, Product Compliance, and related topics. During our extensive and enjoyable research for the content above, we naturally discovered additional valuable information. To make it easier for you, we’ve organized these resources into the categories below.”
Consultants
Here you will find a list of EMC Consultants, many of whom cover other Product Compliance topics.
Most EMC Test Houses will offer some kind of “consultancy”, usually closely linked to their services, which is a small part of their overall business.
The individuals and organisations listed here rely on their “independent” consultancy as a significant part of their business.
What is ……?
Sailors have their own unique vocabulary. For instance, they say “heads” instead of toilets, “fore and aft” for front and back. This can be confusing for non-mariners.
Similarly, EMC engineers use specialized terms like LISNs, CDNs, FARs, which can be perplexing for electrical and electronic engineers
This page is designed to clarify these terms.
Standards
Here you will find Generic commercial, Environment related, Functional Safety and Product/Product Family EMC standards; that are based on International or European regulations. This is not a comprehensive list, but contains the most commonly used ones.
This list also contains some USA commercial standards, some Military/Aerospace standards and some Associated Standards
European Directives
The European Directives listed on this page are related to any industry that incorporates electrics or elctronics in its products or systems. This page gives you an overview of the relevant Directives, some recommended reading and direct access to the text of the Directives.

Whilst the sites navigation links are easy to follow, we would urge you to use our Search facility. Considering the amount of information we have outlined above it could take quite a while to get to the topic of your choice by just browsing!
There is a detailed description on the Search page about the best way to use the Search facility.
The words “TEST HOUSE” mean different things to different people, so please find below what we mean by an “EMC TEST HOUSE” (ETH)
Throughout this site an ETH includes anything from a complex EMC Test Facility, Test Laboratory or Test Site and extends to a dedicated single room encompassing a single EMC Test set-up. On this site an ETH does NOT have to be accredited by any national body.
Whilst we actively encourage supported and/or funded entries; every ETH in the world is entitled to a FREE basic entry on our site.
Any other requirements for an Individual or organisation to be included in a list are stated at the top of each list.
We hope you enjoy using this resource and are always happy to receive feedback at feedback@emc.laboratory-finder.eu. (particularly positive comments!!)
